BENGALURU: At a time when Flipkart is facing a churn a the top, the company has made a key appointment filling a top leadership position that had remained vacant for about 18 months.
Flipkart has hired Smriti Singh as its chief of human resources officer (CHRO), industry sources said. Singh was previously the executive vice president HR for Sony Pictures Networks India. She is expected to join Flipkart as its CHRO in December. Singh’s appointment comes after former COO Nitin Seth had to quit abruptly in May last year. After his exit, Flipkart CEO Kalyan Krishnamurthy took the additional charge of the HR division too.
IBM and Kronos, a developer of workforce management software, have announced a partnership to use AI for more effective human resources management.
