Chandler Joins Heritage Bank & Trust as Human Resources Officer

Heritage Bank & Trust has welcomed Letha Chandler as the newest member of the bank’s team.

Chandler serves as the bank’s human resources officer, a position involving benefits administration, training and development, as well as employee relations.

Chandler completed the Barrett School of Banking Human Resources Management Program earlier this year and is a Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional.

“The addition of Chandler to the bank team will allow us to meet the goals and objectives set forth in our strategic plan,” President and CEO Jim Robinson said.

Walton County Human Resources Director arrested for insurance fraud

The Walton County Human Resources Director has been arrested for insurance fraud following an investigation by Walton County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Department of Financial Services Bureau of Insurance Fraud.

On October 17, the sheriff’s office was notified of potential insurance fraud involving an employee within the human resources department. An investigation was launched and discrepancies were found in the insurance file of 48-year-old Ella Mae Walters.
