Maritime skills guide launched

Those interested in a career in the maritime industry will get more help identifying the specific skills they need to get the job they want.

Senior Minister of State for Transport Josephine Teo said that as the maritime industry transforms, jobs will become more knowledge-intensive. “We will need a workforce that is comfortable with automation and digitalisation. To succeed, the industry also needs our people to have a global orientation,” she added.

One in seven HR leaders report Automation / Artificial Intelligence is already impacting their workforce plans, reports Harvey Nash HR Survey 2017

London – January 25, 2017 The way businesses are planning their workforce is changing, and being impacted by the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automation.

Fifteen per cent of HR leaders said their plans were being affected right now, and a further 40 per cent believe this will happen within the next two to five years. This is according to the sixth annual Harvey Nash Human Resources Survey, representing the views of 1,008 HR leaders from over forty countries.
